If you live in the Coventry area and are considering selling your home, take a few minutes and look at it from a prospective buyer’s viewpoint. Pop out to the street and look back at the house. Compare it to those of your neighbours.
Does it stand the comparison test? Does it stand out as the most well maintained property in the street? Or does it look sad and neglected because other commitments have had to take priority. Do you have damaged garden walls and fences, and front door and windows crying out for a facelift? Lichen covered roof tiles and water stained guttering and downpipes from those little leaks which have never been fixed don’t look very appealing to buyers either.
The same applies inside. There are a number of internal improvements which can be carried out for very little cost, but which can substantially increase the price you can realistically expect to realise when you sell your home.
